Duck Game

My first ever Game

I finished Duck Game when I was 13 and started working on it when I was 11 or 12. Development was slow because it was the first game I had ever made, and I knew nothing about programming. Thankfully my dad would help me fix bugs and pull through to finish it in the end. The game was made using Gamemaker, however basically none of the build-in functions were used. Almost all of it was programmed using the "piece of code" feature.

The game consists of two modes, local multiplayer and singleplayer.
In local multiplayer to people can play using the same keyboard and try to beat each other. While doing so they will discover a multitude of features including chained explosions, power-ups and environmental hazards.

In singleplayer mode the player can fight against slightly overpowered AI and try to rack up a highscore.
Normal mode has the normal gameplay of having 3 lives vs 3 croco lives.
Waves mode is infinite and counts your kills to allow you to compare your kills with a friends kills.

Looking back at the game I am still very pleased. It served as a great way to get in touch with programming and game making. As a bonus the game can be pretty fun to play when u have a friend to tag along locally.
